Zane Alexander S.B. is a composer, performer, and community music organizer living in San Diego. Completing a Certificate of Music Theory at Mesa College while in high school and finishing his degree in Composition at the University of San Diego, Zane's distinct compositional voice has led to his music being hosted by organizations including the Mingei Museum, Project [BLANK], Art Produce, the Athenaeum Art Center, San Diego New Music, San Diego City College, and CalArts. Zane’s work makes experimental music exciting and accessible to both audiences and performers with the aid of large ensembles, surprising locations, and spontaneous energy.

You can find Zane hosting an open mic on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at Public Square Coffee House and leading the San Diego New Verbal Workshop every Thursday.
